Week 1: Chicken Lettuce Wrap

After sifting through a couple books and a few websites I decided my first recipe to attempt would be Chrissy Teigen’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps from her Cravings cookbook.

The meal was super easy to make and absolutely delicious! It was even great two days later reheated in a microwave. The hardest part of this recipe was making sure I had all the ingredients to make the dish.

This recipe was easy because the only kitchen supplies you need are a frying pan, and a mixing bowl aside from a couple kitchen utensils. As a beginner, I had all of those!

What I didn’t have was a stocked pantry to accommodate the various ingredients needed. I had to buy a number of ingredients which resulted in a higher upfront cost. This may discourage some from making the dish, but DON’T LET THAT STOP YOU! Since you use small amounts of all the ingredients you can make this recipe over and over again. No complaints here, I am salivating thinking about it.

IMG_2453.jpgAs my boyfriend would say, “these are literally finger licking good” as they are a messy meal, but this will DEFINITELY become a staple in our household.

I hope every week is as delicious as this one was. Week 1 set the bar high.
